The mountain
Cerro Castor rises above Ushuaia, looking out over the Beagle Channel toward Chile. There is no ski resort further south anywhere on Earth. Its sub-Antarctic position gives it one of the longest seasons in South America, and because so few international skiers make it this far, the slopes stay uncrowded.
