The mountain

Las Leñas tops out at 3,430 metres. The altitude gives it a long, dry powder season, and the Marte chairlift opens up the steep chutes, bowls and freeride lines the resort is known for. Below them sits a compact ski-in, ski-out village: you walk to the lifts and you walk back to dinner.
